I'm still a little sick, yesterday I was feeling way better but I may have over done it because this morning I woke up and was all sniffly and stuffy and headachy. At least I've no classes to worry about. So I'm just taking it easy and trying to get some reading done (I may have missed out on Eros and Psyche but dangit I will be prepared for A Midsummer Night's Dream) while drinking some good ol' NeoCitran.

In any case despite still being icky the other day I went to the store and got some supplies, one of which was, in my opinion, AWESOME.

It's this box of Puffs plus lotion. It's good because my nose gets sad when I've the sniffles and tissue hurts it. However, that isn't what makes this box of tissue AWESOME, what makes it AWESOME is that it smells like Vicks. So everytime I use it I get this AWESOME Vicks smell along with it and it clears up my nose.

Even if I don't have to blow my nose but I start to feel a bit stuffy I just take one out and smell it a bit and clears me up. No more sticky vaporub :D

In any case I just thought I'd share that little bit. In case anyone else out there is a little sniffly.

As a final note I'm not like...endorsing this or anything like that I just thought I'd share random info :3

I am ill. I don't know what it is but right after work on Sunday I started to feel slightly sick.

I felt ok the rest of Sunday but I woke up sometime during the night and felt terribly ill. I spent the rest of the night tossing and turning trying to sleep but my head felt like it was melting and exploding at the same time. I was cold and miserable and my nose was all stuffed up and my sinuses were in pain. I don't get sick often but I know I'm really sick when I get cold, especially my feet - when they're cold I'm miserable.

I got no sleep. So I didn't go to my morning class. My head felt like it was the size of car and I couldn't move without pain. I was hopeful that I'd feel better and be able to get to my afternoon classes. I wanted to go to that class because we were discussing Eros and Psyche and dangit I went over the reading material and I had actual things I wanted to contribute to the discussion. Then the fever hit around noon and I passed out until 4 or 5. I had to force myself to eat something but my stomach was just not having anything to do with it and I nearly lost the pieces of bread I managed to eat. Miserable!

Called home, chatted with my bro for a bit. I mostly whined at him and we compared symptoms and bonded over shared illness (I think he gave me his germs) Our parents weren't home. I had a craving for some of my mom's cooking (sopas! I'm gonna see if she can make me some this weekend)

She called later to make sure I was ok. She wanted to know if I wanted to be picked up and spend the rest of my ill time at home. I said no, they got me sick and I think they're getting better so I didn't want to reintroduce the illness to our house. Also she reminded me to call my cousin, who just had her first baby this past Sunday. Sadly with our house being ridden with this dang cold/flu/allergy/whoknowswhatillness we can't go visit the baby. Which sucks terribly because I love babies. We've recently gotten two added to the family!

Anyway I found a packet of NeoCitran and managed to keep down some cup-o-noodles after which I enjoyed a nice hot mug of medicated goodness. I'm feeling slightly better but just slightly.

I need to go get some supplies tomorrow. Hopefully I wont pass out in the middle of the mall or something.

I'm all jittery.

I have night shifts for the next few days...it was probably a bad idea buying the Season 4 DVD set. But I can't help it. Jensen and Jared are so pretty on the cover and the back of the cover.
I've only got one little issue. The box set isn't the same as the previous seasons. I don't know if it's because I'm in Canada or what but it's like...a plastic case now instead of the awesome paper and plastic ones from previous seasons that like...unfold. Now it's like...meh. I still love it don't get me wrong but...they go three season with the same kind of case and then change it out of nowhere? It throws my poor ordering/organization system off. They should go back to the old system next time around...I think.
I'm also kind of bummed that there's no commentary with J2. Would've been awesome.
Either way...I'm off...to rest...and.....

Ok so I was talking with my brother about superhero movies and we got to talking about Captain America, so I googled.

After seeing this, and I know it's a rumour but, my fangirl heart squeed. Now I'm fairly sure my brother thinks I'm more than a little nuts. I don't fangirl around him, often, or to the same extent as I did that moment. And yes, I'm aware that it's only rumoured but a fangirl can hope and dream right?

I wanted to see if Jensen was working in anything else and I found this.

I had a long and detailed discussion with a couple of guys about this topic over lunch. If you were in RE who would you want to save you? Chris Redfield or Leon S. Kennedy. As much as Chris would kick ass my choice was Leon, 'cause he's kinda awesome to me. Also I really liked the part in Resident Evil: Degeneration
where he's running. Everytime I watch that scene I'm like 'Run Leon! Ruuuun!!'

Anyway just thought I'd fangirl online, though not to the same intensity as I did in RL XD
Hope people! Hope that rumour becomes reality and we get the chance to bask in Jensen Ackles as Leon (Leon!Jensen). If that doesn't tempt you...Jensen as Captain America would mean skin tight costumes...in the theatres people. Giant Jensen in superhero outfit...

Ok so I don't know if this will make sense but I needed to get this out, as it was really starting to get to me.
I started watching (kind of) Verbotene Liebe, which is a German soap opera and as I was watching, and reading (thank you subtitles!!) one of the characters started to bother me.
This is Christian Mann portrayed by Thore Schölermann (thank you Google because goodness knows I couldn't begin to guess spelling that XD)
He kind of reminds me of Kris Allen. I don't know what it is but to me they look kind of similar. I don't know. It's driving me crazy.

It doesn't happen often with me really. I'm not the emotional kind.
A good book for me is one that can take my heart and squeeze it and wrench that emotion from me. To me that's a good read, and few other things get me like that.
Sometimes music, songs with meaning and sung with intent can get my attention and in some instances can get a similar reaction from me.
At times something I watch, a scene in a show that's written with such great lines and acted with intense emotion you can't help but be pulled in will get to me.
Though rare those things usually inspire me and I get an intense need to let the feelings out and that's usually when I end up writing. Some other times I'm just unable to let things out any other way than to sit and lose my breath and my heart at what I see.
These things are really rare for me and when I read, hear, see something that does that to me I like to remember them as completely as I can.
I have books and stories listed in my mind and lines and paragraphs I know so well, I have songs I hunt the lyrics down for and scenes from shows that I recall clearly. So I take these things pretty seriously, for me, in anycase.
Now to get to why I'm suddenly posting this.
I was watching So You Think You Can Dance and I tuned in when Jason and Caitlin were being introduced and then they danced Bollywood to Jai Ho. From the start they just took my breath away. Literally, I lost my breath watching them and my eyes started tearing up. It may have been the dance, or the apparent joy on their faces as they were dancing and the emotion they shared with the viewers, the music I don't know. All I know is it was breathtaking.
